Ted Studdard began his service as a Marine Corps Private and retired as a Colonel. Throughout his career, he led large, dispersed organizations around the world with missions ranging from humanitarian relief to diplomacy to combat. His service included working with partners from the US, the UN, and the African Union. At the strategic level in both the Pentagon and in Afghanistan, he worked closely with multiple US Government Departments and Agencies along with NATO and non-NATO allies.
Ted’s second career was in Corporate America with The Home Depot. His work in business-to-business operations, field operations, staffing, and leadership training has given him valuable insight into corporate leadership. He also served on the Board of Directors for The Home Depot Military Appreciation Group.
Currently, Ted is the CEO of The Studdard Company, and Senior Vice President of Leadership Development at Strategic Government Resources.
Ted is the author of the book Depot to Depot and has appeared as a featured guest on national TV, radio, and podcasts. He speaks to a variety of audiences about individual and organizational leadership as well as transition and transformation. Ted also speaks to business leaders and their HR partners about the value that veterans bring to the workforce and how to best leverage their talent and experience. Additionally, he serves as a mentor with American Corporate Partners and works with several non-profits supporting veterans to include the US Chamber of Commerce’s Hiring Our Heroes national program.
A graduate of the University of Georgia, Ted earned his Bachelor of Business Arts in Business Management. He also earned a Master of Military Studies from the Marine Corps Command and Staff College and a Master of Science in National Security Strategy from the National War College.
Ted and his wife, Melissa, and their two children enjoy the outdoors, traveling, and fly fishing.
